In 1971 Udo was instrumental in forming the legendary band Accept. After hitting their peak with Balls to the Wall Udo left the band in 1987. He immediately started a new band with his own namesake simply called U.D.O. This year marks the 25th anniversary of U.D.O. and they are celebrating by touring the world (they just wrapped up in the states,) and reissuing ever album. Plus a brand new album called Steamhammer will be out the end of May. We welcome Udo Dirkschneider to the Hangar.
This week’s In the Vault comes from Fear Factory. More specifically an appearance by Fear Factory on Canada’s Much Music in 1995.

By this point maybe you’ve heard the new Black Sabbath song “God is Dead?” but have you heard it after one of their classics? This week’s Then & Now is from Sabbath’s first album with Ozzy since 1978′s Never Say Die!
Finally our heavy metal soundtrack recommendation comes from the movie soundtrack that is really responsible for the Metallica song that shut down Napster and cause that big legal stir in the early 2000′s. It’s Mission Impossible 2.
Join us for 3 hours of classic metal inside Hangar 19.
