I’m still kind of pissed at myself that I didn’t try harder to go to the 2nd installment of Metallica’s Orion Music + More fest June 8 and 9 in Detroit. At least Metallica puts cool sets like this on livemetallica.com so us idiots who didn’t go can enjoy it, or for those that were there can enjoy it all over again.

The set goes like this. On Saturday afternoon James Hetfield comes on one of the side stages to introduce a unheard of band called Deehan. James goes through the motions of introducing the made up band when all of a sudden Lars Ulrich hops on stage and starts playing the intro to Hit The Lights, the first song from their 1983 debut Kill ‘em All. Then Kirk Hammet and Robert Truillo walk on stage and James is given his classic Gibson Explorer guitar. They then proceed to play that album in it’s entirety.
